The September Congress – Dr. Chinburen

First I would like to thank you for your support to our September congress, it was the most fruitful congress I have ever done before. During the congress we have not only discussed liver surgery, but also the interventional radiology, which is quite a new technology for Mongolia. Prof. Gillet made a very good presentational work.

Dr. Agnes presented fabulous themes on radiology. After the congress she made a 4-days-workshop on liver imaging.
During the congress we also had a guest from Japan. Due to this congress the Japanese side is willing to extend our cooperation, such as a short fellow program.

We made the first radio ablation in Mongolia for the HCC with Dr. Agnes. She helped us to improve our interventional radiology doing bench side training. It was great.

With Prof. Gillet we saved the life of a 9-year-old girl with a huge hepato angio sarcoma, it was a 2.7 kg tumor and resection was RO. Saving life is the most beautiful job, especially saving a child’s life. I can imagine how a Pediatric surgeon feels, indeed!
